aplogies for double posting
Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we officially announce the start of the Multi-Scale Laboratories Seminars next month!
The Multi-Scale Laboratories (MSL) is a network of world-class experimental laboratories that are part of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS): https://www.epos-eu.org/tcs/multi-scale-laboratories. The areas of expertise in these labs range from high pressure-temperature rock, fault mechanics and rock physics, to electron microscopy, micro-beam analysis, analogue (tectonic and geodynamic) modelling, and paleomagnetic studies.
In the upcoming MSL Seminars, we plan to have regular contributions from inside and outside the MSL community and from all four subdomains: (1) analogue modeling, (2) rock/melt physics experiments, (3) paleomagnetism, and (4) analytical & microscopy.
Each seminar is intended to have an overarching team involving at least two of the MSL subdomains in order to build bridges between the communities.
The seminars will consist of a series of online meetings planned to take place every second Tuesday of the month at 16:00 CEST/CET. We are happy to announce our kick-off meeting for October 12th, under the topic “Multiscale laboratories: experiments on a wide range of scales”
Please register first, which can be done in less than a minute by filling in this online form: https://bit.ly/3kghkkM. You will receive the link to the meetings and timely reminders after completing the form.
Looking forward to having you on board for the MSL Seminars!
Best regards,
