We have a new project entitled CoFI the Common Framework for Inversion that I am pursuing with Andrew Valentine (Durham, UK) and Juerg Hauser (CSIRO). It will be a challenging project involving significant software development building software infrastructure and experimenting with solutions to geoscience and other inverse problems. We seek a competent Scientific Programmer to join the team developing CoFI. Some details are below with the specific job ad from the ANU site. It might suit someone who has completed a Ph.D. in a Physical Sciences/Engineering/Computer Science discipline, or someone with equivalent experience and skills. The position is open now for applications. Its advertised at 3 years full time with possible for extension depending on funding.
