PhD position in transient creep at Cambridge

Dear all,

I am advertising a PhD position in developing new rheological models for transient creep in the Microgeodynamics Group at the University of Cambridge, UK. The project will involve a combination of high-temperature deformation experiments, microstructural analyses of experimental and natural samples, and the formulation of constitutive equations. The end goal will be to deliver new rheological models that can be employed in analyses of postseismic deformation and glacial isostatic adjustment.

Full details of the project are available at: https://nercdtp.esc.cam.ac.uk/projects/se327

Please feel free to contact me to discuss the project further.

Best,

David Wallis
